STUDY OF THE EARTH'S CRUST SURFACE DEFORMATIONS IN ROMANIA
(Abstract)
The paper presents a short history of the recent crustal deformation researches
performed in Romania from Mrazec's geomorphological study on the Jiu valley
until the present-day geodetical works in geodynamic polygons (Gruiu – Caldarusani,
Rast – Lom, Nehoiu – Basca Rozilei). There are two variants of
recent crustal vertical movements map of the entire Romanian territory based
on high accuracy leveling measurements in the national geodetical network of
first order. In the end, the Earth tide measurements in a surface and two underground
observatories are mentioned.
Key words: crustal deformation, geodynamic polygon, high accuracy leveling,
Earth tide.
