ASPECTS OF ROMANIAN EXPLORATION FOR HYDROCARBONS
(Abstract)
A history of the Romanian seismic exploration for hydrocarbons is given with the opportunity of celebrating seventy years of Applied Geophysics in Romania. The evolution of the organizational frame as well as of the equipment in use are reviewed in detail. The rich data base, containing information on: location of seismic profiles, acquisition technologies, drilled boreholes, geological parameters, production tests, cores, lithology, loggings, general geological data on structures and details on oil pools, is also discussed.
