MATHEMATICAL MODELLING OF THE ISOMERIC STRUCTURES
IN THE D.C. ELECTROMETRIC PROSPECTION.
PART II
(Abstract)
The first part of this paper presented in the way of applying the finite element
method to simulate the electrometry problems of continuous current. At the
same time the direct calculation algorithm of abnormal potential was presented
and the methodology accuracy compared to analytical solution was tested.
The second part of the paper shows the way of simulating the relief effect,
anisotropic bodies and medium simulation and modeling of an abnormal prismatic
buried body.
For all these problems, the approach way is illustrated and a series of results
of such modeling are presented. These presented both in the first and in the
second part of this paper show as eloquent as possible the wide possibilities
to apply this methodology, accuracy of solutions, this pleading for the increase
of experts’ interest both for modeling other electrometric problems and
applications in other branches of geophysical prospecting.
Key words: 3D, DC electrical methods modeling, finite element method, spherical
body, relief effect, anisotropic body, anisotropic medium.
