THE INFLUENCE OF THE EMISSION ELECTRODES DEPTH
ON THE APPARENT RESISTIVITY ANOMALIES
(Abstract)
The determination of the underground heterogeneities position by means of
the resistivity anomalies is not always possible. Supplementary information
concerning the resistivity distribution could be obtained by means of special
measurements with emission-reception electrodes placed in boreholes. A simple
method is shown for the determination of heterogeneities depth based on the
apparent resistivity variation versus the emission electrodes depth. The numerical
calculation method of the 3D models could be used also in the case of very
complicated geological structures. The 3D modeling method will be used for
the geoelectrical monitoring of contamination plummes in environmental studies
too.
Key words:. Apparent resistivity, 3D modeling, contamination plumme.
