SEISMIC RESEARCHES IN CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN DOBRUDJA
(Abstract)
In terms of three seismic profiles recorded from the same shot point (Sitorman
quarry), was be able to determine the deep crustal structure for the Central
and Southern part of Dobrudja.
A deep cross-section and a sketch on the Mohorovicic discontinuity level are
presented. The isobaths points out the thickening of the earth's crust from
south to north, at about 30 km to 38 km.
These results are correlated with the structure of the neighbouring areas,
from the western side of the Danube, in Bulgaria and in the western side of
the Black Sea.
