THE INTEGRATED INTERPRETATION OF THE GEOLOGICAL AND GEOPHYSICAL DATA FROM
LIVADA (SATU MARE) AREA
(Abstract)
In the western part of Gutai Mountains, where the sedimentary formations
grow thicker, the regional aeromagnetical map shows a maximum, with three local
anomalous peaks. The only directly geological signs have been given in the
Draguseni – 1 borehole which crossed some pyroxenic-andesitical rocks,
at 941 meters. For obtaining the contour of the sources a AD magnetic modeling
was applied. This is based on approximating the structure with many horizontal
slabs having constant thickness and polygonal contour. The final solution of
the integrated interpretation at 2–1 kilometers depth. The shape of the
body is almost elliptical mostly developed WNW-ESE suggesting a profound increase
after a major fault with the same direction. The anomalous peaks from Agris
and Livada belong to some evaluations with this structure, while the local
maximum at Adrian is given by a superficial source. Through its physical and
geological peculiarities, the Livada structure has been an ideal situation
for applying a AD magnetic modeling, allowing a fine correlation with the results
of other geophysical methods. All processing and interpretation methods point
out the possibility of showing hidden structures, even when missing directly
observation data can be also used for other interesting situatiaons.
Key words: Neogene volcanism, AD magnetic modeling, lacolite structure evaluation,
superficial source.
