SPATIAL EXPANSION OF PUNCTUAL MEASUREMENTS
OF METEOROLOGICAL AND HYDROLOGICAL PARAMETERS
(Rezumat)
The paper is concentrated on the expansion of direct measurement data of
meteorological and hydrological parameters in a two-dimensional space. The
results obtained by automatic data processing, using an interpolation method,
based on the finite differences Newton formula are presented.
The procedure consists in successive interpolations in two orthogonal directions,
on a characteristic regularly spaced grid with 16 mesh points and in averaging
the results of computation at each point of the interpolation lattice.
The computer program in a FORTRAN IV language and a modular structure performs
the input data reading, numerical analysis, including the interpolation procedure,
discrete space delineation, isoscalar lines contouring and areal representation.
The processed data are obtained on the rapid printer in a thematic cartogramme
form.
Two applications, revealed with the automatic generating of isohytal lines
on the surface of a watershed and with the estimating of suspended sediment
distribution in the
reservoir water, are presented too.
The algorithm and the computing routines, elaborated for a FELIX C512 common
computer configuration, can be successfully used in practical meteorology and
hydrology in the zone of punctual to areal transfer, aiming at the investigation
of the spatial distribution of such scalar fields as rainfall, temperature,
soilmoisture, etc.
Key words: automatic data processing, interpolation, isoscalar lines, hydro-meteorological
parameters.
Cuvinte cheie: prelucrarea automata a datelor, interpolare, linii isoscalare,
