STATISTICAL PROCESSING OF UNDERGROUND MAGNETIC MEASUREMENTS
WITH THE AID OF INVERSE PROBABILITY METHOD, FOR VALUATION
LOW INTENSITY ANOMALIES
Abstract
Taking in the account the theoretical expressions known from statistics,
in this paper are presented the procedures to determine the noise distribution
(random disturbances) in respect with the normal law distribution, to estimate
the correlation law and to elaborate the curves of existence probability for
the expected anomalies.
Using the probability curves obtained from statistical processing, it is possible
to eliminate the anomalies due to noises, to separate the anomalies with low
intensity produced by the ferro-magnetic bodies and also to determine the ore
bodies position in respect with existing galleries.
The results are illustrated by real examples obtained with the aid of statistical
processing of underground magnetic data in the case of magnetite and pyrhotite
ore body from "Martinovo" (NE part of Bulgaria).
