STRUCTURAL AND METALLOGENETIC PROGNOSES IN SACARAMB AREA
DEDUCED FROM GEOPHYSICAL DATA
Abstract
The paper presents the results obtained by integrated geological interpretation
of the geophysical data for the Sacaramb volcanic structure (Metaliferi Mounts).
With the aid of magnetic data is was possible to delineate some Neocene eruptive
intrusions of small size, to draw the main lines of fracture and to limit the
areas affected by the hydrometamorphism.
Gravity data supplied some elements concerning the topography of crystalline
basement and indicated the existence of an important underground Neocene volcanic
body. Because of the presence of hydrothermal transformations in the top the
body of region should have real economical prospects.
