The paper presents an original three-dimensional theoretical modeling procedure
having multiple applications in field data interpretation in the case of non-layered
structures electrical prospection.
Some theoretical models illustrating the influence of the gradient arrangement
on the apparent resistivity anomalies are given. The usefulness of 3D-modelling
for interpreting the field data as well as for field work planning, in order
to choose the optimum prospecting arrangements is underlined.
Key words: electrometry, apparent resistivity, 3D-modelling, optimum prospecting
arrangement.
