(ABSTRACT)
The fore-deep of the East Carpathians bending zone has formed by remobilisation
of the north-eastern edge of the Moesian Platform.
The Neogene sedimentary column of about 10.000 m thick involved in the subsidence
and sedimentation processes, larger and larger surfaces of the Moesian Platform
There is a centripetal displacement of the solid materials to the median, deep
part of the depression.
The centrifugal fluid migration characterizes the fore-deep as a juvenile basin.
The centripetal transport of the solid materials and centrifugal displacement
of the fluids lead to the increase of the lithostatic pressure, reactivation
of the faults and the triggering of some earthquakes.
