NON-DESTRUCTIVE GEOPHYSICAL METHODS TO IDENTIFY
THE UNDERGROUND CAVITIES LYING AT SHALLOW DEPTHS
(Abstract)
The paper presents the geophysical methods able to reveal the presence of
certain underground cavities under traffic routes or technological platforms
in view of providing traffic security of technological safety.
Out of all the presented approaches, resonance microseismical measurements
has proved to be the most efficient and accurate method, finally becoming the
most widely recommended non-destructive geophysical method to identify the
underground gaps lying at shallow depths.
Key words: cavity, microseismic, resonance, vibrogram.
