APPLICATIONS OF SEISMIC METHODS IN ENGINEERING GEOPHYSICS
(Abstract)
The paper presents applications of seismic methods to determining some physical and elasto-dynamical properties of rocks. The directivity of some simple sources for generating elastic waves and techniques using them are discussed. Applications of these techniques to obtaining the velocity of compressional and shear seismic waves characterising the quality of investigated rocks are presented.
