SEISMIC PROSPECTING WITH THE MULTISPREAD
3 D-SEISMIC LOGGING METHOD IN AREAS WITH
COMPLICATED TECTONICS AND MORPHOLOGY
(Abstract)
This paper describes briefly the results of the last ten years of seismic
prospecting with the Multispread 3-D Seismic Logging.
Method within the Enterprise for Geological and Geophysical Prospecting, Bucharest,
Romania.
The results presented have been obtained in areas with complicated tectonics
and morphology.
The surveys have been divided into three steps, depending on the recording
techniques and processing technology:
– the first step involved the experimental prospecting of known structures
in order to test method proposed by V. Chiscan [1];
– the second step consisted in production prospecting north of the town
of Buzau in the Mio-Pliocene unit, using oscillographic recording devices,
– the third step involved the prospecting of areas of the Getic Depression
and the External Flysch Unit, using analogous and digital magnetic recording
devices and digital data processing systems.
The surveys have yielded valuable information on the Paleogene and Neogene
in all surveyed areas.
