REMOTING SENSING AS APPLIED TO GEOLOGICAL
STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS OF THE APUSENI MOUNTAINS
(Abstract)
The paper presents the main results of the geological interpretation for
remote sensing data: lineaments maps, rose diagrams, maps of lineaments concentrations.
The data have been obtained during the analyses of satellite images taken from
the Apuseni MOUNTAINS area.
Special attention has been paid to the main trend of the lineaments, many of
them being correlated with tectonic disjunctive elements partially obtained
by the conventional geological and geophysical mapping in the region. Also,
the main circular features depicted on the images often represent the effects
of volcanic and subvolcanic structures.
