FIRST RESULTS OF BOARD OFFSHORE GRAVITY SURVEYS
ON THE ROMANIAN BLACK SEA CONTINENTAL SHELF
(Abstract)
Following the endowment of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics with two
gravimetric equipments of GMN – K type in 1984, board offshore gravity
surveys were initiated on the Romanian Black Sea continental shelf.
The paper presents problems of the preparation of the equipment under laboratory
conditions, its fitting abroad and the measurements carried out in a network
of marine profiles as well as the results of the processing of data obtained
so far.
