A DIRECT METHOD FOR EVALUATING STATIC ELASTICITY MODULUS
ON THE BASIS OF ELASTIC WAVE PROPAGATION VELOCITIES
(Abstract)
Limiting conditions of static to dynamic elasticity moduli ratio (Estat./Edyn),
expressed by (1), are fulfiled only if the relationships (2) and, implicitly
(3) are accepted. This idea has allowed elaboration of a procedure for direct
determination of the static elasticity modulus using the relationships (4) – (6).
The procedure validity is proved by an application of related relationships
for the rocks from Paltinu dam site (Table 1). Also, a statistical analysis
of the results in made (Table 2).
