THE ANALYSIS OF CODA WAVES FOR LOCAL EARTHQUAKES
(Abstract)
The analysis of the coda characteristics of some intermediate earthquakes
produced in the Vrancea region pointed out the stability of the form of coda
envelope in a certain frequency band, irrespective of epicenter, focal depth
and the other source parameters.
Using the values of A100 (which characterize the coda envelope it can frequency
band), the spectral characteristic H100 and the local magnitudes ML determined
for Cheia station (MLR), two linear relations: log A100(ML) and log H100(ML)
were obtained.
