A PETROPHYSICAL STUDY OF CARBONATE ROCK VARIETIES
FROM THE ROMANIAN MOESIAN PLATFORM
(Abstract)
A large scale study of 295 petrographical and petrophysical core sample analyses
and the pertinent well logs has provided excellent basic data for the identification
of 15 carbonate rock varieties in the Romanian Moesian Platform.
For each lithological type, values are specified for the following petrophysical
parameters: formation factor, porosity, density, cementation exponent and tortuosity.
Several graphs interrelating these parameters are also presented providing
a more reliable selection of the parameters required for carbonate rock hydrocarbonation
potential evaluation.
