ON THE POSSIBILITIES OF GRAVIMETRIC SURVEY OF SOME PALAEOGEOMORPHICAL STRUCTURES
(Abstract)

The gravitational effects of two palaeogeomorphical structures, turned into oil fields today, situated in very different geological conditions viz. the Bradesti structure din the Moesian Platform and the Valcele one in the Getic Depression are reported. In either case gravity anomalies can be mapped with a high degree of confidence using the standard gravimetric survey technique. The findings revealed that geological interpretation of gravity anomalies correlated with reflexion seismics information can improve the efficiency of geophysical surveying of such structures which in many cases are favourable to hydrocarbons entrapment.
