MATHEMATICAL MODELS FOR COMPUTER PROCESSING OF WELL LOGS
OBTAINED IN CLASTIC ROCKS
(Abstract)
The purpose of this paper is to show how the log derived values of geophysical
parameters can be used in connection with mathematical models and rock mineral
identification from cores for a quantitative evaluation of the solid and fluid
components belonging to clastic rocks.
The paper presents analytical and graphical models which may be oriented for
hand calculation but are readily adapted to a computer logging program.
Field results are also given to support the mathematical models for computer
processing described in this paper which are applicable to most types of clastic
rocks.
