THE APPLICATION OF ANALYTICAL SIGNAL IN PROCESSING
AND INTERPRETATION OF SEISMIC DATA
(Abstract)
The seismic trace can be viewed as the real part of an analytical signal
or complex trace. The analysis of seismic data as an analytic signal is a transform
technique, like the Fourier transform, and is useful in interpretation problems.
This paper explains the application of complex trace analysis to seismic data
and its usefulness in geologic interpretation.
