MIGRATION OF SEISMIC SECTIONS USING THE SCALAR WAVE EQUATION
(Abstract)
After the description of the general background of the migration methods
that use the scalar wave equation, the method of migration in the f – k
domain of the zero-offset section is developed.
Details are given of the process inverse to migration, and considerations are
made upon efficient programming and the applicabilities of this method.
Some results obtained with this method are presented, both on synthetic seismic
sections (models) and on real seismic sections.
