TRIDIMENSIONAL INVESTIGATION IN THE SEISMIC PROSPECTION
WITH WIDE LINE PROFILE TECHNIQUE
(Abstract)
Many reflection events seen on seismic traces have their correspondent subsurface
point in the lateral vicinity of vertical section. Three-dimensional seismic
investigation methods like wide line profile may achieve the true structural
patterns of reflectors.
To accomplish this objective, seismic data are recorded with multiple coverage
technique in a regular grid. Therefore the third dimension of the seismic line
is obtained from the width of this grid.
Three-dimensional processing of these traces provides a real vertical sections
and isobath-maps for every continuous horizon.
