HEAT FLOW VALUES FOR SOME TECTONIC UNITS IN ROMANIA
(Abstract)
Heat flow determinations in Eastern Carpathians (crystalline nucleus and
Neogene volcanic zone) and Transylvania Basin are presented. Low heat flow
values of 45–57 mWm
and 33–58 mWm were found for the crystalline nucleus and Transylvanian Basin, respectively.
A high heat flow of 70–120
mWm is characteristic of the Neogene volcanic area.
