SEISMIC DATA PROCESSING BY DIGITAL FILTERING
(Abstract)
The seismic model used by Robinson (1975) for the predictive dynamic deconvolution
is described as a discrete recursive filter, outlining:
– a new interpretation of the Backus type inverse filter;
– a simple presentation of the inverse filtering methods of widest use
in seismic data processing (spike and predictive deconvolution); and
– some remarks regarding the dynamic predictive deconvolution method
Details are also presented of the numerical realization, within a seismic data
processing system, of frequency filters (zero-phase, notch, and minimum phase
anti-aliasing).
