THE USE OF THE SEISMIC PROSPECTING METHOD TO THE RESEARCH
OF ROMANIAN CONTINENTAL PLATFORM OF THE BLACK SEA
(Abstract)
The successive stages of preparation and achievement, of the seismic offshore
Black Sea prospecting are presented.
Marin seismic research particularities, the equipments and technologies which
were used in the Romanian continental platform investigation are described.
In the last part, the main noise sources which are not in connection with generation
source and affected seismic records are analysed.
The noises generated by the sea waves, prospecting vessel, water surface buoy
and active underwater bouies are taken in consideration. Their main characteristics,
analysis methods, and conclusions are presented.
