ON THE EFFECT OF BORE HOLE DRILLING ON THE THERMAL
FIELD OF THE AREA
(Abstract)
Some experimental results concerning the re-establishment of thermal field after drilling a hole in the sedimentary formations of Transylvania Basin (Romania) are presented. A comparison is made between two methods of extrapolating the measured temperatures after drilling and some practical conclusions regarding the temperature measurements and the geothermal gradient determination in the conditions likely to be encountered in Romania are given.
