GEOELECTRIC RESEARCHES FOR SULPHIDEPOLIMETAL, MINERALIZATION
IN THE MOLDOVA NOUA – STAPANARI REGION
(Abstract)
Some examples concerning IP, resistivity and SP methods applied for the identification
and location of sulphide ores associated with Laramian magmatic manifestations
in the Moldova noua – Stapanari region (Sourthern Banat) are given.
Both field and laboratory investigations have proved the capacity exhibited
by IP method to detect these ore bodies; its investigation depth, in the favourable
geological conditions rearches hundreds of meters.
Although the application of the resistivity and SP methods does not always
permit the separation of the mineralized rocks – especially when they
are disseminated and deep-seated – it proves useful information concerning
the nature of the IP anomalous zones.
