(2) A WAY OF QUANTITATIVE INTERPRETATION OF STEP-TYPE ANOMALY SOURCES
ANALYTICALY DESCRIBED ON THE PROFILE
(Abstract)
Giving an analytical expression of the gravity anomalies by the use of the
least-squares method, the horizontal gravity gradient can be determined with
good accuracy. These two gravity magnitudes can serve to establish the geometrical
parameters of a step source model.
The procedure was applied for the case of a fault of the crystalline basement
in the Pannonian Depression of Romania, with good results.
