SOME ASPECTS OF INTRODUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF WELL LOGGING IN ROMANIA
(ABSTRACT)
The main aspects of introduction and development of well logging in Romania
are presented in the paper. Three different stages can be distinguished:
1. The stage of sporadic application of physical measurements in the borehole,
from1906 to 1930;
2. The stage of systematic introduction and application of electrical logging,
supplemented by other geophysical methods for boreholes research, from 1931
to 1950 and;
3. The stage of multiple development of borehole geophysics methods, from 1950
to present time.
The problems of well logging application are presented in close connection
with the exploration and exploitation technology of hydrocarbons, coals, ores
and mineral salts deposits.
