RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN WELL LOGGING
Abstract
The most recent and significant developments in well logging technology are
present as a review paper.
Some of the main problems of electrical, acoustic, nuclear, and other methods
(density, nuclear magnetism logging and dipmeter) utilized in geophysical borehole
exploration have been described first. The following chapters cover petrophysics,
logging of exploration holes drilled for ores and coal deposits, and some auxiliary
techniques for borehole survey. Last chapters deal with transmission and computer
processing of well logging data.
The paper includes a large list of references.
