(Abstract)

This work presents a new technique for interpreting the logs obtained with the D.R.R. (Determination of Rock Resistivity) method.
The input parameters of this method are the geophysical parameters obtained in the first step of the well log interpretation.
Using the method described in this paper, in the second step of the well log interpretation, rock porosity, fluid saturation as well as the pore space movable hydrocarbons are determined.
The last part of the paper is devoted to the application of the method herein presented to the logs belonging to one of the wells drilled in a Pliocene sand-shale sequence of a big Romanian oil field.
