PRELIMINARY VALUES OF THE HEAT FLOW IN TRANSYLVANIA
(Abstract)
Preliminary results concerning some heat flow determinations for the Romanian territory are presented. A divided bar apparatus was used for measuring the thermal conductivity of rocks; the thermal gradient was derived from available thermal logging records. The accuracy of these is discussed, leading to the conclusion that the obtained thermal gradient and heat flow values might be affected by systematic errors of about – 40–50% due to temperature measuring too soon after drilling.
