A growing body of evidence supports the idea of time, space and energy clustering
in the seismogenic process, which must reflect specific physical, geodynamic
and rheological phenomena acting at different scalelengths. The purpose of
this paper is to study the scale invariant clustering in space and time domains
for the Vrancea subcrustal earthquakes. At the same time we try to identify
the local fractal properties along the Vrancea subducting slab and their
correlation with different characteristic segments delimited on the depth.
Key words: Vrancea subducting slab, fractal properties, coefficient variation method, multifractal statistics.
