Aspects of the accuracy estimation of the high-precision leveling. To estimate the accuracy of equal weighted quadrupole measurements, two ways have been used till now; a classical one, using the Bessel formula and the second one, applying double measurement formulae using the difference between the measurement averages.
The latter way, although frequently used, is not suitable for quadruple measurements: the fact that there is no particular reason in choosing, for accuracy evaluation, one of the three differences between measurement averages which could be formed, leads to different and ambiguous results.
In this paper a method based on using the multiple measurement errors theory is presented.
The proposed method gives the possibility of using both the direct discrepancies and those obtained from their averages, a generalized method for geometric leveling accuracy (apriori) evaluation being mentioned.
