Groundwater basins management requires a complete analysis of all factors which contribute to the system behaviour. The advantages of finite element method, using isoparametric elements, in solving the direct problem of potential with Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions are presented. Characteristic features of the inverse problem solution and of model calibration are also discussed. Some examples in which only a little number of physical parameters values are known, are given.
