Correlation between the deep geological structure and the postvolcanic manifestations of the Calimani – Tibles – Gutai neogenic eruptive on the northern segment of the Eastern Carpathians. In accordance with the systematizing scheme of the international material of geological, geophysical and hydrogeological observations concerning the northern segment of he Eastern Carpathians, the authors present an attempt of correlation between the deep geological structure and the post-volcanic manifestation of the Calimani – Tibles – Gutai neogenic eruptive. The deep geological structure is characterized by crustal, regional and local fractures geophysically identified. The post-volcanic manifestations known in this volcanic segment are mofettic and thermal activities as well as travertine deposits. The correlation points out the following qualitative conclusions: (a) a zonal distribution of the post-volcanic manifestations as against the Calimani –Tibles – Oas eruptive masses (the more frequent, complex and intense ones in the neighboring zones of Caliman mountains, and progressively weaker with the distance as well as in the neighboring of Tibles – Gutai – Oas mountains); (b) a diminuation of the ray of lateral mofettic diffusion, at about 15 – 20 km from the eruptive masses (less than a half of the lateral mofettic diffusion on the southern segment of the Eastern Carpathian, where it is of about 50 km). The progressive diminution in intensity, frequence and complexity of the post-volcanic manifestations from the SE to the NNW sector of the segment is considered by the authors as a consequence of the increasing age, in the same direction, of the eruptive masses (the Calimani eruptions being jounger than the Gutai – Oas ones).
