This paper studies the possibility of determining the magnitude of normal
earthquakes produced on the Romanian territory.
On the basis of the observational material of the Bucharest and Lvov stations,
two problems were analysed: a) the specification of the system of Mt values
(2); b) the relationship between the period Tmax of the maximum phase and the
magnitude M.
