Resolution 1
The group of experts (Appendix 1)
recognizing
the needs for monitoring geodynamic processes in the Carpathian region, and
noting
the progress made in investigations on geodynamic processes carried out by professional groups from the countries of that region,
recommends
to continue, to extend and coordinate the activities on the establishment of the international geodynamic research project based on different modern observations and data acquiring technologies.Resolution 2
The group of experts
recognizing
the need of a close international cooperation, and
accepting
the draft concept of the joint international project “Assessing Geological Hazards within Carpathians Active Geodynamic Areas (AGER)”, submitted by the Romanian part
asks
the participants of the meeting to complete the draft of the project by submitting necessary information and improvements by 7 December 2009, to Lucian Besutiu.
Resolution 3
The group of experts
endorses
the invitation of the Ukrainian delegation to host the next ICGN Experts Meeting in Lvov, Ukraine, in October 2010.
Resolution 4
The group of experts
expresses
the heartfelt thanks to the Local Organizing Committee from the Institute of Geodynamics of the Romanian Academy, for the excellent arrangements resulting in a very successful meeting.
