.

Please, be aware that you may find some indicators with a different name of the street (Prof. Dimitrie Gerota). You should not worry about, it is the same address.

Travelling by air

Every day between 5.30 and 23.00, there is a RATB bus-shuttle (# 783) who will bring you from the Henry Coanda International Airport ( http://otp-airport.ro/index.php ?) to the centre of Bucharest (the Piata Universitatii stop), close to the meeting place (see the map). A two - trips ticket costs approximately EUR 2. Tickets may be purchased in front of the terminal, close to the bus-stop.

Travelling by train

If you travel by train you should take the underground (metro-line #1) from the Gara de Nord railways station for the Dristor direction and go to the next stop (Piata Victoriei ). Then you will change to the metro-line #2 and go from Piata Victoriei to Piata Universitatii stop.

A 10 trips magnetic card will cost approx EUR 2 and may be purchased in the metropolitan stations.

From the Piata Universitatii metro-station you have to walk about 5 minute to IGAR, or directly to Hotel Banatul (see the map).

Taxi

Taxis are also available at the airport, but we would not recommend you to use the service, except for the accredited company (Fly taxi). The cost of travel will be about EUR 20.

There are a lot of taxi companies in Bucharest . The normal transport fee is about 1.5 - 2.5 lei/km. However, if you want to take a taxi, we will strongly recommend you to use a phone call (use hotel service) to order the trip. Direct contact with taxi-drivers may be hazardous.
